3Balet is composed of three short opuses by Stanislava Vlčeková, Šárka Ondrišová and Mário Radačovský. Balet Bratislava gives the opportunity to Slovak artists who have been already working as theatre professionals for a long time, have a very unique style and, moreover, they are searching the problems and reflecting emotions of people nowadays.
Rose by Stanislava Vlčeková is inspired by the timeless work of a famous French impressionist writer Marcel Proust and his novel In Search Of Lost Time. Almost all dimensions and spheres of the humanities comment on the work of Marcel Proust. There is often a paradoxical situation where his crystal clear work and message become the subject of dark and complicated and metaphorical interpretations which get Proust’s work back from where he tried to pull it away. The authors of Rose decided to turn to its formal message which is like a surgical scalpel of subjective optic of a person living at any time, in solitude, in any condition. The piece is created by Stanislava Vlčková and Jozef Vlk who are known thanks to their Debris Company productions. Tom Ciller is the author of the set; costumes were designed by Katarína Holková. Music was composed by Jozef Vlk.
Frost is the name of a new piece by Šárka Ondrišová. Inspired by the theme of coldness and frost the authors of this piece do not do not understand it only as a manifestation of winter. They put it in a broader context of a metaphor. It is coldness in us and our relationships, which can hurt us and evoke sadness… Šárka Ondrišová is known as the founder and director of the Alternative Theatre elledanse and as a laureate of the Minister of Culture Award 2008 and a few Slovak Annual Theatre Awards (DOSKY). She has created her new piece Frost in cooperation with Boris Nahálka. Peter Groll and Zuzana Hudeková.
New piece by Mario Radačovský Monos deals with the theme of the human and their self-reflection. Exploring, observing and searching for what is right, reasonable and truthful in ourselves can help us to find values and orientation in the world around us. While trying to find our own, we often lose ourselves in the tangled web of relationships, problems and practical obstacles and in all this, solitude can provide a moment of catharsis. Mário Radačovský chose music of Yan Tiersen for his new piece.
