Art Endures – An Event Highlighting the Underfunding of Czech Culture

Starting Friday, March 13, the public space around the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic on Maltézské náměstí will become the venue for the event Art Endures (Umění trvá), which draws attention to the long-standing underfunding of culture in the Czech Republic and to growing concerns about political interference in artistic freedom.

ImPulsTanz 2026: New names, world premieres and rediscoveries

From 9 July to 9 August 2026, ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival will once again bring together the international dance and performance scene in Vienna. In addition to Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Katerina Andreou and Boris Charmatz, Leïla Ka, Phia Ménard, Eun-Me Ahn and Christos Papadopoulos will also be appearing for the first time, as will TAO Dance Theatre with a world premiere.

Winners of the Prix de Lausanne 2026 and award for Sylvia Guillem

The 54th edition of the prestigious Prix de Lausanne ballet competition took place in Lausanne, Switzerland, from February 1 to 7, 2026. It culminated in the final evening on Saturday, February 7, during which fourteen of the twenty-one selected finalists were awarded prizes. At the same time, French prima ballerina Sylvie Guillem received an award for her lifetime contribution to the world of dance.

Advance ticket sales begin for the 38th TANEC PRAHA festival

The 38th edition of the TANEC PRAHA international festival will open on June 1, 2026, at the Ponec Theater with a performance Natural Order of Things by Guy Nader & Maria Campos. The Greek choreographer Christos Papadopoulos will provide the grand finale of the festival on June 23 at the Karlín Music Theater with his work My Fierce Ignorant Step.
