International Television Festival Golden Prague 2012
News
Its uniqueness as in international festival lies in its special focus on TV films and programmes about music and dance. It is particularly beneficial in offering a yearly meeting place for producers, filmmakers and the public, the latter being the stimuli from which many ideas have historically led to new projects. For a few days the Žofín palace becomes the central place in the world where the best music and dance programmes and films are celebrated.
The personal participation of many major world directors, choreographers and other guests, coming to present their work, is proof of the exceptional reputation of the festival. As ever, this year will not be without its star - the principal soloist of the English National Ballet and without doubt our most celebrated prima ballerina, Daria Klimentová, will, with her effervescent charm, introduce the screening of Agony and Ecstasy, a documentary exploring her artistic career.
After presentations of the world's major public televisions and especially after a series dedicated to cultural channels this year will introduce another dominant and probably the most famous cultural channel - ARTE. Both French and German senior executives will talk about this bilingual project, explain how it works and most importantly will present the best of its music and dance production.
Golden Prague Premieres will include for example a special screening of the Flat Pack musical inspired by the famous Swedish furniture company and Alain Platel‘s vocal-dance project C(h)œurs. In frames of the attractive series, in which the world's best television directors, choreographers and performers present their own creation, we will welcome the most interesting modern Russian choreographer Boris Eifman. This amazing magician of the theatre will bring his highlights to Golden Prague. See more at: http://www.ceskatelevize.cz/specialy/zlatapraha/en/2012/news/

Thank you for your thoughts. One got stuck in my mind – that passion makes us different from AI. Just yesterday I read…I am a dance critic. I am a member of an endangered species
