Festival Fun Fatale Will Present Acrobats Hanging On Aerial Hoops, Ropes and Their Hair

Women juggling, biking but also hanging on silks, ropes or their hair. This is how third international contemporary circus festival Fun Fatale is going to be. Main part of the program will take place from 26th to 30th March in Klub Mlejn in Prague. The festival will offer twelve performances by acrobats from Norway, Switzerland, Poland or Great Britain. Apart from two premieres by Ilona Jäntti and Jana Korb visitors could be looking forward to the festival award winning performance Imaga by Ingrid Esperanza or the concert of festival patron Anna Polívková. There will also be opportunity to attend workshops lead by foreign acrobats. Chosen performances can be seen in Jihlava, Nitra and Bratislava, too. During eleven days visitors will admire aerial acrobatics on silks, ropes or aerial hoops. „This will be enriched by juggling in special multimedia project by Polish performer Marta Kuczyńska, that connects video projection and juggling. Some unusual techniques will be presented, for example bicycle acrobatics by Jessica Arpin or surprisingly graceful performance by Ingrid Esperanza, who will be hanging on her hair,“ reveals festival dramaturg Eliška Brtnická. For the first time the festival will expand to other cities. Thanks to that, fans of acrobatics can look forward to Fun Fatale from 27^th March to 6th April in Jihlava (DIOD theatre), 31st March in Bratislava (A4 – Space for Contemporary Culture) and 1st April in Nitra (Andrej Bagar Theatre). Specific performances and workshops will be relocated to these cities also with theirs special ambiance. “We’re really glad, that such great performances as Invisi’ BALL or Erstes Lied, which is inspired by one of Kafka’s stories, could be seen not just in Prague,” completes KD Mlejn director Dagmar Roubalová. Festival visitors could also try acrobatics themselves. This year there will be exclusive opportunity to choose between Chinese pole, acrobalance, juggling, silks, trapeze and ground acrobatics. Fun Fatale 2014 organizes KD Mlejn in cooperation with Cirkus Mlejn company.
