Fifth Yearbook of Taneční aktuality.cz Published

The first Czech web magazine about dance Taneční aktuality.cz comes with its fifth annual yearbook – a collection of the most fundamental texts that make up the image of the last dance season in the Czech Republic 2011/2012. In the yearbook with an inovated graphic design, readers can again find reviews, reports and interviews with dancers, choreographers and other personalities. There are several festival reports and reminiscences from abroad. The book closes for the first time with series of texts dealing with anniversaries of important personalities of the Czech dance scene.
The book is traditionally divided into several sections by region - in Prague it focuses on productions that originated on the stages of the National Theatre and at independent venues (Studio Alta, Theatre Ponec, Archa Theatre, La Fabrika, Teatro NoD and more), and does not forget regions: Brno, Pilsen, Ostrava, Olomouc, Ústí nad Labem, České Budějovice, etc. It reflects also dance and movement theater festivals such as Tanec Praha, Letní Letná, Golden Prague, Small Inventory, the Czech Dance Platform, Theatrical Flora Olomouc, the Zero Point festival or Slovak festivals Bratislava in Movement and Four (+2) days of dance for you or the French Montpellier Danse.
Taneční aktuality.cz is an online medium that provides a reflection of the sixth year of professional dance in the Czech Republic and its width is increasing year by year. On its website it provides an overview of events for the audience and the artists themselves: daily updated dance diary of performances throughout the country, information on auditions, workshops, internships and scholarships, dance courses and festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad. Last but not least the website is a place to find the latest news and an archive of all news from the art field, which has been collected in one place since the beginning of 2007. Taneční aktuality.cz is a unique project that combines professional news and current affairs journalism and because of its availability provides an information service for a wide range of readers. It supports communication between movement genres, artists and audiences and cultural institutions. It is a dynamic and up-to-date web magazine, a reference point in the dance world. The Yearbook is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Prague City Hall and our partners: the National Theatre, the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Prague Dance Centre, Dance Conservatory Prague, Dance Conservatory IV Psota, Grishko, Sansha Prague, Pilates studio Renata Sabongui and others. Price of the new yearbook is 139 CZK. It is published in Czech language.
