KoresponDance 2012 Begins with a Round Table
International festival KoresponDance 2012 begins on November 27 with a conference: Do you want to learn about in what ways performing arts can be beneficial to society? And how society can be helpful to performing arts? What will leaders of Czech and foreign organizations and companies answer to these questions? Representatives of private and public sector and cultural sphere will discuss on benefits generated for society by performing arts. The program starts with an introductory lecture and continues with an open panel discussion. The programme is designed for everyone interested in the issue.
The conference is already the fourth encounter organized within the cycle INNOVATIONS – PERFORMING ARTS – SOCIETY. The next encounter will be held in the spring of 2013.
The festival will present dance productions created by Czech artists as well reputed foreign bodies, thus opening the door for encounters of different cultures and different approaches to artistic work, not only that which draws inspiration from history. Each performance is followed with a moderated discussion of the artists and the audience. Also, the public will get the chance to actively participate in the project Post Modern Dance through a lecture (Martha Moore) and through participation in “events“ that will be created right on the spot. The festival is organized by: SE.S.TA – Centre for Choreographic Development http://www.se-s-ta.cz/english/index.html
