Taneční aktuality is launching an open call for papers for the 2022 Special Edition focused on TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE DANCING BODY
We are looking for authors and draft articles addressing current issues and exploring the subject of the human body and its reflection in the field of dance and movement. Following the covid pandemic and global panic, it became hard to maintain a healthy mind in a healthy body, especially for those who use their bodies not only as the main source of livelihood, but also as a means of artistic expression. We witnessed disconnection from physical experience, the rethinking of sensory perception, digitalisation of dance and objectification of the body. Now we want to refocus on the essence of the human body, its possibilities and capacities within our art, and the shifting perceptions of the body on stage.
