The 18th International Flora Theatre Festival Takes Place in Olomouc from 15 to 25 May.

Besides a mini-festival of productions of the Prague-based Vosto5 Theatre, Flora will also host a five-day retrospection of the most important productions of Petr Bezruč Theatre from Ostrava or a spectrum of current oeuvre of director Daniel Špinar, one of the most significant personality of the Czech contemporary theatre (productions: Beggar´s Opera by Klicpera Theatre from Hradec Králové, Hamlet by Prague-based Švanda Theatre andMy Romantic History by Petr Berzuč Theatre from Ostrava).
Flora Theatre Festival will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Velvet revolution in a dramaturgical section dedicated to Václav Havel, its most important personality. On the stage of the co-organizing Moravian Theatre, in S-Cube club, in premises of K3 of the Art Centre of Palacký University and in the circus tent on the Konvikt bailey, the festival goers will see the newest adaptations of Havel´s plays – performed by actors of the National Theatre, Theatre Na zábradlí, Spitfire Company a many other Czech artists.
Apart from the great number of theatre productions varying in genre, the festival in Olomouc will host concerts, projections, workshops as well as discussions. The presale of tickets to each of the productions is organized at the Moravian Theatre cash box in Olomouc and it will be launched right after the Easter Holiday – on Tuesday 22 April. Source: FTF
