The Prague Chamber Ballet's New Premiere Mono No Aware

The first premiere of the Prague Chamber Ballet in the season 2011/2012 is a choreography by Hana Turečková Mono no aware (at the limit of beauty) based on the music by G. F. Händel and Štěpán Polanský. The opening night takes place on December 11, 2011, beginning at 8 p.m. at the New Stage of National Theatre in Prague as part of the evening programme PRAGUE CHAMBER BALLET AND GUESTS. In addition to this piece other works, such as Unspoken Silence by Tomáš Rychetský (company DekkaDancers) and the latest choreography by Mario Radačovský (Ballet Bratislava) are to be performed there too.
Since the end of September dancers of the Prague Chamber Ballet have been rehearsing the new choreography by Hana Turečková. Alongside the soloists of the Prague Chamber Ballet (Lenka Bílková, Denisa Kubášová, Ivana Sikorová and David Stránský) guests Tomáš Červinka and Jakub Sedláček are scheduled to perform too. Štěpán Polanský has been asked to collaborate on music, stage design and lighting design is by renowned German artist Marcus Selg and costume design was created collaboration with Atelier LaFormela of Antonín Soukup. The name of the new piece is derived from the term "mono no aware" that appears in the Japanese literature and can be loosely translated as an authentic sigh of a being.
DekkaDancers, a company of professional artists (Tomáš Rychetský, Viktor Konvalinka and Pavel Hejný) are going to present a successful choreography Unspoken Silence by Tomáš Rychetský to the music by Leoš Janáček. The piece is inspired by a piano sonata Z ulice, based on student tragedy of 1905 and can be described as an innermost, intimate miniature for one man and three women. Soloists (and dancers) of the National Theatre Ballet in Prague Zuzana Susová, Klára Jelínková, Kristýna Němečková and Tomáš Kopecký are scheduled to perform the piece. The stage design is by Milan Cais (Tatabojs), costumes by Roman Šolc, lighting design by Daniel Tesař and music supervision by Ondřej Urban.
The last piece of the programme is the latest choreography Three Duets by Mario Radačovský (artistic director of Ballet Bratislava) to the music by Frederic Chopin. The choreography will be performed by dancers of Ballet Bratislava Klaudia Bittererová, Katarina Kaanová, Veronika Hollá, Dan Datcu, Dominic Vačok and Tamás Csizmadia. Ballet Bratislava is an independent dance company focused on neo-classical choreographies.
