Dance can be the antithesis of a clock. Dance can teach us that time is not separate from the body. In fact, the moving body is rather a reminder that time and space are always in a dance. And the dance never stops, but it also never begins.
Markéta Fagan
Markéta Fagan is an artist and researcher based in Prague, Czech Republic. She utilizes improvisational dance and creative writing as a submarine to reach the deeper crevices of her mind. Instinct, spirituality, and nature drive her practice. She graduated from London Contemporary Dance School in 2023 with an MA in Expanded Dance Practice, where she cultivated an interest in the possibilities of choreographing consciousness. Markéta now works as a freelance artist exhibiting across galleries, theatres, and festivals around Europe. She has also worked commercially for musicians such as Fred Again, Jamie xx, and Jorja Smith.
