Throngs of eager spectators have lined the steps of Paris theatres in recent months, while last minute ticket seekers display homemade signs—often in vain—hoping to access sold-out performances. 

Last year WArd/waRD invited Sanjoy Roy, dance writer for The Guardian, to freely write about the works Joy Enjoy Joy and its research performance Creating Joy by renowned Flemish choreographer Ann Van den Broek.
